Diprocort S Lotion

Diprocort-S Lotion is a specialized dermatological solution used to manage inflammatory, dry, and scaly skin disorders. Unlike heavy ointments, this lotion formulation is lightweight and spreads easily, making it ideal for application on the scalp and other large or hair-covered body surfaces.

The formulation works through a synergistic two-step process:

1. Keratolytic Action: Salicylic acid acts as a “peeling” agent that softens and breaks down keratin (the outer layer of skin). This helps to remove thick scales and crusts, allowing the second active ingredient to penetrate deeper into the skin.

2. Anti-Inflammatory Action: Betamethasone Dipropionate, a strong corticosteroid, works to reduce the underlying redness, swelling, and intense itching associated with skin flare-ups.

This combination is particularly effective for chronic plaque psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and stubborn eczematous conditions where skin thickening has occurred.
